2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is carried over from the 2017 model practically unchanged-the 2017 Fusion Hybrid was already incredible. Most drivers will love the middle SE trim for the complete range of features it offers, including accent lighting, power-adjustable seats, and satellite radio. It also has a range of other technology features and options that further enhance it's already exhilarating driving experience.

Trim and Technology Options

There are four trim levels available on the Fusion Hybrid. The economical S trim is a great entry-level car, while the SE trim gives you several outstanding tech features at only a slight bump-up. The Titanium gives you a number of options packages as standard, and the range-topping Platinum level features everything you could want in a small sedan.

The base level gives you automatic headlights, remote entry, LED taillights, a rearview camera, and automatic dual-zone climate control. With Bluetooth® connectivity, you can also use voice commands for audio and phone via the Ford SYNC® system. This advanced infotainment system also comes a 4.2-inch display, nine speakers, smartphone app integration, CD player, and a USB port.

Stepping it up gives you keyless entry, LED accent lighting, a digital compass, power driver and passenger seats, and satellite radio. Additional features include a complete range of technology, safety, and driver-assistance features, including upgraded headlights and taillights. It also comes packed with heated seats and mirrors, remote start, parking sensors, and the Ford SYNC® 3 infotainment system. With the next-level SYNC® 3 system, you'll get an 8-inch touchscreen, an upgraded sound system, additional USB ports, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, a power-adjustable steering wheel, the Ford Driver Assist Package, and more.

Performance

The 2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, delivering 188 horsepower. It's also mated with a continuously variable transmission for a smooth driving experience. The EPA-estimated fuel economy for this vehicle is 43 city/41 highway MPG1.

Safety Features

It's hard to beat the safety features you get on the new Fusion Hybrid. It comes with a rearview camera and has available emergency crash notification, the Ford MyKey® feature, and parking sensors. As if that weren't enough, it also comes with Blind Spot Monitoring, Cross-Traffic Alert, the drowsy driver system, Lane Departure Warning, the Lane-Keeping System, and Forward Collision Warning.

The 2017 Fusion earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it the highest "Good" rating overall. Numbers for the 2018 model aren't yet available, but the car is expected to have many of the same systems and features as the 2017 model, so the same ratings should apply.
